About Fairly True

Last updated

Fairly True is a satirical publication that may look like a serious newspaper. But, it pays more attiontion to the patterns underneath the ordinary headlines them: power, money, AI, working life, consumer culture, propaganda, attention, and the institutions that reward harmful behaviour.

Our target is power, incentives, institutions and bad systems.

What you are reading

Most of what we publish is entirely fictional, with invented countries, companies, institutions and public figures. When we write about something that really happened, we say so and try to link to the record. Every piece carries a label: satire or fiction, satire based on real events, commentary, or parody.

Who makes it

Two human editors write, check and publish every piece. Read how we work in our Editorial Policy, how we label things in our Satire, Fiction and Parody Policy, and how we use AI and images in our AI and Image Policy. All three are linked in the footer of every page.
